The waters around North Pender Island and South Pender Island are full of life. Close to shore one can view wonderful tide pools while many fish species, crabs, sea stars and anemones can be viewed at the numerous docks around the islands.
Some of the best tide pools are at the far end of South Pender Island, specifically Gowlland Point and Brooks Point. For viewing other shore life the docks at Hope Bay and Port Washington provide good viewing.
This section is an ongoing project; more species will be added as we have the time.
