Cycling the roads of both North and South Pender Island provides a pleasant glimpse of the countryside and charm that the islands have. Traffic is generally not much of an issue except on the main roads from the ferry to the Driftwood Center and Magic Lake beyond but the traffic comes in a wave after a ferry docks and then moderates again. The roads are windy, narrow and steep however so keep to the right and be safe.
Unfortunately there are no dedicated cycling trails on Pender Island for the “off roaders”. As well, cycling is not allowed on any trail on the islands.
